Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley continued his four day official visit to Jamaica today with a courtesy call on Jamaica’s Governor General, His Excellency The Most Honourable Sir Patrick Allen, and his wife The Most Honourable Lady Allen at King's House, Kingston Jamaica today (Monday 18th July, 2016).

Please be informed that His Excellency Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmona, acting in accordance with the advice of the Prime Minister under subsection (3) of section 76,subsection (1)of section 79, subsection (9) of section 3 and subsection (3) (c) of section 77 of the Constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago has revoked the appointment of Ms. Marlene Mc Donald as Minister of Housing and Urban Development.

President Anthony Carmona appoints new High Commissioner to Jamaica and Ambassador to Brazil

The media and by extension the people of Trinidad and Tobago are hereby informed that acting on the advice of the Prime Minister, in accordance with the provisions of section 135 of the Constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, His Excellency, President Anthony Thomas Aquinas Carmona has appointed Mr. Fitzgerald Mc Arthur Jeffrey as High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to Jamaica, resident in Kingston with accreditation to Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Prime Minister meets with Commonwealth Representatives

In 2015, the Global Goals set by the United Nations were adopted with a view to tackling corruption worldwide. Coming out of this, a major anti-corruption summit will be held in London on May 12th 2016. The summit will bring together a coalition of world leaders committed to addressing the issue of corruption and its debilitating effects on development worldwide.

The scourge of domestic violence erodes the fabric of society and infringes the human rights of the individual.

Minister of Social Development and Family Services pays a courtesy call on the Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly

On February 16, 2016, The Honourable Cherrie-Ann Crichlow-Cockburn, Minister of Social Development and Family Services paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Orville London, Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) to discuss, among other things, the various ways in which the Ministry and the THA can collaborate to improve the social services offered to citizens in both Trinidad and Tobago. Also present were Assemblyman Claudia Groome-Duke, Secretary of Health and Social Services and Assemblyman Sheldon Cunningham, Assistant Secretary of Health and Social Services.

Today, Tuesday 16th February, 2016 marked the first full day of the Twenty-Seventh Inter-Sessional Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). The Trinidad and Tobago delegation is headed by Prime Minister, Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley and includes Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, the Honourable Dennis Moses.
